uPARTICIPATION INFORMATION

1. Retail sales are forbidden on June 18-19, 2008. Retail sales will only be permitted on June 20-21, 2008, when this event is open to the public by paid admission. (NT$300 per ticket, US$ 1 =NT$ 33 on Aug. 30, 2007)

2. All manufacturers, distributors, traders, and organizations dealing in the above-mentioned exhibit profile are eligible to participate as exhibitors.

3. The organizer reserves the right to determine the exhibition eligibility of participants and the products to be on display, and also reserves the right to determine the number and location of booth(s) for each exhibitor.

4. Booths will be assigned firstly on a number of booth(s) requested basis, and then, on a first-come, first-served basis.

5. If exhibition booth demand exceeds the booths available, the organizer reserves the right to reduce the number and size of booths and to change the exhibition venue and date of the show or to cancel the show without any liability or responsibility for compensation or indemnification to exhibitors.

6. The organizer does not act as sponsor for exhibitors in their entry visa applications.

7. Four exhibitor badges will be offered with the first booth and two more for each additional booth.

Application form must reach the organizer (TAITRA) before Feb.28, 2008 by either mail, fax, or through the Internet.

uBOOTH SPACE RENTAL

Remarks:

1. Booth: 3M × 3M; Column: 1.65M × 1.65M

2. The rates are for raw space only (no facilities included), plus 500 watts (110V) of electric power; exhibitors must contact their own contractors for booth decoration and facilities.

uPAYMENT SCHEDULE

1. A US$500 down payment per booth together with two copies of the product catalogues and booth application form should be sent to the organizer (TAITRA) before Feb.28, 2008 (Down payment will be refunded if no exhibition space is available when your application is received.)

2. After booth allocation, the organizer will notify applicants of their booth number, booth location and balance due.

3. Bank draft/check should be made payable to "Taiwan External Trade Development Council", crossed "A/C Payee Only".

4. Telegraphic transfer should be made to "Taiwan External Trade Development Council", Account Number 085007000016 at the Bank of Taiwan, Taipei World Trade Center Branch. Swift ID: BKTWTWTP085 (Please state clearly that the telegraphic transfer is for the 2008 Taipei International Food Machiney and Technology Show.) All banking charges, if any, are to be borne by the applicant.

5. In case of cancellation, down payment and space rentals already paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

uEXHIBITION MANUAL

Upon acceptance of application, each exhibitor will receive an Exhibition Manual which provides detailed information and procedures on electricity, shipping instruction, the travel agent, forwarding & handling agent, booth decoration and fees for booth facilities.

uPUBLICITY & PROMOTION

An active publicity campaign for this event is in progress to ensure optimum media coverage targets thousands of potential quality visitors.

1. Advertising & Publicity:

An intensive advertisement campaign will be placed in local and overseas newspapers and food industry magazines. Press releases will be circulated several times before and during the show.

2. Direct Mail and E-Invitation:

TAITRA will send Direct Mail and Electronic invitations in Chinese and English versions to domestic and overseas buyers, including key manufacturers, traders, distributors, inviting them to the show.

3. Promotion at other food exhibitions:

TAITRA will promote FOODTECH TAIPEI 2008 at other important foodtech exhibitions in Japan, Indonesia, Singapore, China, Korea and Europe, etc.

4. TAITRA worldwide service network:

TAITRA’s 48 overseas branch offices will join to co-promote this exhibition.

5. Show Preview:

A Show Preview in English, containing the exhibitors’ information as well as the exhibition's features will be sent to international visitors who attended the previous FOODTECH TAIPEI shows.

6. Official Directory:

TAITRA will publish an official directory, containing the exhibitors’ profiles such as main products and contact information.

7. Online Networking

Exhibit profiles of all exhibitors will be posted on the website at www.foodtech.com.tw. Visitors could search exhibitor information and make appointments with exhibitors before the show.
